Individual psychotherapy

With curiosity and openness we will explore the issues and goals bringing you into therapy. If you are questioning how to move forward with more clarity, connection, joy and ease in relationships, work or school you don't have to do it alone.

Couples psychotherapy

I know it feels like it's about that thing your partner does (or doesn't do!) that upsets you. It's likely not.

If you find yourselves in frequent fights that leave one or both of you feeling unheard and/or resentful, and the only way to get past it is to let it go, these conflicts will continue until you understand what you're actually fighting about, including how your past impacts your present.

Perhaps one or both of you tend to shut down or withdraw and it feels like the disconnection and space between you is getting harder to bridge.

I help couples get to the root of their conflicts and the things left unspoken, learn to connect compassionately and openly, and communicate differently. Then you can re-assess your joint and individual relationship goals and values, decide with more clarity how to move forward, and learn new skills to do so.

I also provide short term, discernment-focused therapy for couples seeking support in their decision making.  Discernment focused therapy is helpful if one or both individuals in the couple are unclear if they want to stay together or move apart, how to move apart, or how to co-parent when separated, for example.
